If you LOVE Neil Gaiman, Lev Grossman, Ray Bradbury, or Laurell K. Hamilton, you’ll be wild about the dark, mysterious, and magical world of The Stolen Affinity Chronicles.
I'm author of the best selling Meridia Falls series and co-author of the best selling Theme Park Mysteries series.
I'm currently knee deep in my fictional universe, the AffinityVerse. The enormous amount of stories in my head finally forced their way out and created their own playground. I'm loving every magic-infused second of exploring it.
I'm married and live with my wife, two kids and cats in Doncaster, England. As a family, we love to travel, especially to Florida, as we love theme parks. You could say that is an understatement.
I love reading all genres. Physical books or ebooks on my kindle, I don't mind, so long as I've always got a good novel to read. Some people say they can sleep anywhere, I can read anywhere. As soon as the page turns, my mind blocks everything else out.
I'm always open to questions, comments, feedback or just if you want to say hello. I'd love to hear from you.
Are there alternate timelines in existence somewhere? Can pivotal events create them? What of time itself? Is there a price to be paid for time travel? Jump into this AffinityVerse series and explore all these questions!
Luther Stone is stuck in an alternate timeline. He has retained his memory of his true time, others only remember the events from this one. Two others he has met can remember both pasts, Amber, a teenage girl, and her aunt Nicci. They recovered their true time memories when they both touched a picture from that past.
Luther has a self-appointed mission to heal the fracture in time. With his unusual team, Amber, Nicci and Kathy, a nurse that is helping them, he needs to go back in time to stop an assassination, the pivotal event in this timeline which represents the fracture point.
Even though some in his group are magic users, even combined they don’t have the power to time travel. But they know someone who does. Dean is in a medically and magically induced coma. For Luther’s plan to succeed, they will have to break him out of the hospital and the coma.
The planned hospital break is elaborate and risky. They are careful to avoid any collateral damage, but here all magic is suspect, and no one is really safe? Will their desperate plan to save Dean work? Can time be set right once fractured?
I was gifted a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Affinity has been unleashed and now no one can stop its effects, and its effects are horrendous. The people who survived The Fall are still mourning their loved ones, billions died during the fall and nothing has been the same in the world since, even though two years have passed. Those who are magic wielders, now known as enchanters are being hounded and military police are carrying out raids and arresting anyone who is found to wield magic, as they have been blamed for the Fall. The veil is supposed to inhibit the use of magic but people are still finding a way to beat this. Luther Stone and his friends think to beat affinity by travelling back in time to before the fall and changing history, hoping to reverse affinities effect or even stop it from taking place. If they do not manage to do this they risk losing the world as they knew it, but can they thwart time? This is a very tense read from beginning to end. The characters are strong and courageous and the reader ends up routing for them but unfortunately seems like the ball will just keep on rolling gathering momentum as it rolls no matter how hard they try and how many doors they open!! Can they survive affinity?
D.B. Green starts his Stolen Affinity Chronicles with book 1, World’s End.
I just jumped into this magical world, and I have to share that I will be staying and learning all the ins and outs of this marvelous creation. There was so much happening in this story, that I had to pay close attention to make sure I was following correctly. The fear and joy was palpable, as each character attempted to bring about the change needed in this phenomenal setting.
As this is my first D.B. Green book, I know I must now read the others he has written, in their chronological order, and I look forward to it!
This story was amazing as expected. loved being back in the Affinityverse. Full of twists, craziness and great characters. I loved the alternate world theory and liked how the few who remember what the time line should be are fun to watch as they try to execute the plan. Just easy to read as the gang go through a lot of action and suspense. I read it in one sitting as it sucked me in and I had to see what would happen next. Never disappointed throughout the whole story and loved the unexpected and the magic.
This was a really interesting story with a stream of characters and lots of adventure but the author has done a great job developing this story. It is an interesting read and the story flows nicely. The events make sense and the characters are believable. I received a free copy of the book and this is my voluntary and honest review.
Fabulous as always. Luther and his group try to fix things. Not as easy as it seems. Totally lost in the fantasy story. It makes you feel as if you want to stay there forever. Ready for the next book.
Intriguing storyline. Keeps you on the edge of your seat. A world in chaos, enchanters revolution, alternate timelines. Friends to save the world and the stolen affinity. Can't wait to read the next installment.
