Elle thought her days of dealing with evil fairies was in the past – that was until Aster, a mysterious, purple-haired fairy, began to wreak havoc in both the fae and human worlds.

In Elle’s Magical Books, Elle and Rebekah (her soon-to-be adopted sister), continue their journey shortly after their magical shoes’ adventure. In this tale, the books they love to read are causing them to have unusual reactions. Not only are the girls having issues, but Serenity Island, the home of the fairies, is facing dangerous weather conditions – unlike anything they’ve ever had on the island. Could the problems be related?

Join Elle and Rebekah in this middle grade fantasy as they meet new friends, face a dangerous fae, and find that imagination is an important part of life.

Why jokes should only be played occasionally

This book is a brilliant sequel, it follows Elle and her friends as they set out to save Serenity Island the home of the fairies.
A fairy named Aster puts an enchantment in Elle's books, which causes all sorts of problems back on the Fairy Realm. As they try sort out the problem, they go back Serenity Island and find that Aster is the long lost sister of the queen.
Ultimately they need to sort out the problems that have occurred but they know things have to be done.
Another excellent story.

Both books in this series have been great. This is the second book and we enjoyed it as much as the first. My daughter loves Florena. You get to explore more of the fairy world in this one. We are hoping Carla writes another one for this series. Adults should enjoy it too!

This book will delight middle grade readers. With themes of imagination and friendship, the book has a good message without being at all preachy. The story moves along well and makes you want to keep reading. I enjoyed the first book in the series and liked this one even more. Both are now on my classroom shelves. I am hoping there is a Book 3!
